This issue is to perform the first release of the logger.

This amounts to:

• reviewing the release feature checklist in the milestone %Logger First Release
• reviewing project installation documentation
• reviewing the quality checklist
• making release notes
• bumping the project version
• demoing the release
• celebrating the release
